- Dimensions:
- 320mm high, 640mm wide, 470mm deep
- Construction:
- Professionally constructed, fully moulded fiberglass. Fully insulated with 15mm polyurethane foam. Finished in high quality Gelcoat to provide a hard wearing, non-porous surface.
- Fan-forced:
- Heat circulates evenly throughout the unit. Fitted with two fans. In the event of a fan failure the second fan will maintain heat circulation.
- Thermostatically controlled:
- Fitted with a Kimani heating system- fully sealed element can be wiped over with disinfectant. Extremely accurate and stable.
- Digital Microprocessor:
- Advanced models fitted with a digital thermostat that facilitates extreme accuracy. This dual display unit allows you to program a target temperature and visually monitor the actual temperature. The thermostat automatically adjusts to variations in ambient temperature to maintain the unit at the target level. See 'Incubation Accessories' for further information.
- Turning System:
- Turner motor is geared to advance the eggs very slowly with minimal vibration. 360 degree turning will take one hour to complete. Fitted with a timer which can be programmed to turn for 15 minute intervals rather than continuous allowing one quarter turns as often as the operator requires. Turner is mounted externally and vibration from the motor is totally isolated from the egg tray.
- Thermometer:
- Supplied with a 305cm incubation spirit thermometer.
- Humidity controlled:
- One litre storage bottle automatically feeds into the internal water reservoirs. Fully adjustable for different humidity levels.
- Hygrometer:
- Supplied with a digital hygrometer.
- Large perspex viewing window:
- Allows easy monitoring of temperature and eggs. Additional height above egg level allows for hatching baskets to be placed in the incubator. This is necessary where batches of chicks need to be kept separate for identification of breed or genetic lines or where a separate hatcher is unavailable and some eggs still require turning while others are hatching.
- Hinged Lid:
- Kimani Incubators have split-hinged lids which can be propped open, retaining heat and saving bench space when candling eggs. The lid can still be removed when required for ease of cleaning.
- Can be totally disinfected:
- Kimani Incubators are unique in that all electrical components can be removed from the unit by simply undoing four wingnuts and removing the electrical panel. The turner motor is also removable. The rest of the unit can be completely submerged in water and thoroughly disinfected. There are no cracks and crevices to trap dirt and hatching debris, reducing the possibility of contamination from bacteria and viruses. The electrical components are also simple to remove from their panel for further disinfection if required.
- Warranty:
- Twelve months. Because of the ease of removal of the element, fan and the turning motor, in the unlikely event of any parts failure, these can be removed and replaced by post without the entire unit having to be returned. This results in minimal downtime and eliminates costly servicing and freight.
